Joshua Beresford is a British artist originally from the small hamlet of Ickornshaw near Skipton, North Yorkshire. Now living and working in Leeds, West Yorkshire. Josh graduated with a First Class Honours Degree from Leeds School of Arts, Leeds Beckett University in Fine Art.
His paintings explore nature, geology, landscape formations, ancient societies, agricultural lands and the patterns found within the natural world. Growing up in a small hamlet near Skipton, North Yorkshire, the waving hills and farmland heavily influences and inspires all of his paintings.
Joshua's collage work explores antiquity, as well as our relationship with nature, contemporary fashion and historic artefacts. His collage work uses recycled material found at local tips and charity shops, as well as materials donated directly to him.
